This website uses the technique of SpeedTEXT. SpeedTEXT uses HTML 4 and CSS techniques to create a radically enhanced user experience by the simple expedient of designing the web page as if the function of the page was to provide information that can be rapidly absorbed by the user rather than the usual approach of designing webpages to demonstrate the size of the web designer's penis.
What is SpeedTEXT? Simply HTML that doesn't try to look clever, but is. Efficient, fast, streamlined. It doesn't show off, it just gets on with the task in hand. You have seen it many times but probably didn't notice. It is like that, the best websites just work, they don't get you thinking about their design, they just get you using it. What wallpaper does Google use? What does their Flash animation intro movie look like? Do you remember their scrolling JavaScript message? How does their background music go? Don't you love their buttons and rollover effects? You mean you haven't seen any of those things on the most popular website on the planet? Doesn't that make you think? Isn't it time you used SpeedTEXT for your website? Isn't it time all websites worked this way? |
