“There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word, which means more to me than any other. That word is ENGLAND.”- Sir Winston ChurchillEnglish is not a race. England is a nation. If you live in England then wherever you or your ancestors have come from you can be English, if you choose to be. If you care to be. I care. Passionately. And I am not alone. There are plenty more people who care about England and care to be English. These are people who value English and British values. It is our values which make us a great nation not our genes. Our freedom. Our respect for law and justice. Our tolerance of the tolerant and tolerable and our refusal to tolerate the intolerent and the intolerable. England is a post-Christian nation, and that's the best thing to be. We have values which serve us and we serve. We don't have dogmas to kill and die for. Our values that once seemed to be and were promoted as Christian values have now become civilized values, secular values, western values - English values. Religion may have been the scaffolding around which the structure was built but all the lintels and keystones are now in place, we don't need that scaffolding any longer. Our civilization and our values don't need any supernatural or mythical support. People can follow their religion here but we don't want it thrust down our throats and we don't like people who wear their religion as a badge of difference, defiance and assumed superiority. That gets right up our nose. Sometimes we even get riled enough to say something about it, we may even be riled enough to picket. Although not very often. Don't believe the lies that say that pride in your nation or your culture is racist. Of course there are scumbags out there who talk of pride in their nation who do so out of hate and bitterness, but they do not have the right to strip our national symbols of their power to unite us. Neither has patriotic pride anything to do with being right wing. One of our greatest national treasures is our health service and welfare state. It was the spirit of national unity that came from the experience of standing up against Nazi Germany, for many dark months almost alone, which enabled us to create the great and caring society we became. Although Winston Churchill was the most popular leader our country ever had his party was thrown out of office in 1945 because the people, united as never before, had a new vision. A welfare state requires national solidarity and respect for all. I predict that it will soon be shown that welfare states cannot operate in societies in which people do not feel part of one national community. If people's primary loyalty is to something other than the state which runs them such institutions will never be able to flourish. England needs to wake up and recognize the enormous threat that we are facing. Multiculturalism is a collossal failure and an existential threat to our society and way of life. People who put their primary loyalty with a religion or a minority community ahead of their nation and make their nation into their sworn enemy are quite simply traitors and they must be treated as such. We owe it to both past and future generations to ensure that there will always be an England. | AtheismPoliticsLifeFeedbackForumHomePolitics in Little EnglandDeath to MonarchiesPalace Admits Prince Charles is GayIslam, a Threat to the WorldSt George, the big pussy cat and Richard the LionheartWe Are All One FamilyLong Live the English RepublicDamned Republican Communist!Rivers of Blood: The Great BetrayalArguing with IdiotsIslam is NOT a RaceSlavery: Not a Black and White IssueThe Norwegian Tragedy: Never be SilencedIslam and WomenThe Islamic Golden AgeRespect for IslamI'm English: Give Me a Sign!Original Sin: Being EnglishThe Jewish QuestionEmpires of the FutureShould we Tolerate the Religious?Fitna, Geert Wilders and the Death of European FreedomWar: What is it Good For?Schools of ThoughtReligion's Dirtiest TricksMartinJWillett on YouTubeWho Do I Think I am?Theocracy?
